Oil-immersed current transformers are used in power systems with rated voltages of 35kV to 550kV and rated frequencies of 50Hz. They convert the current value on the primary line into a standard current value (1A or 5A) in proportion, and provide current signals for electrical measuring instruments, meters, and protection and control devices. The common overall structures of oil-immersed current transformers are divided into upright type (LB for short) and inverted type (LVB for short).

The oil-immersed upright current transformer is mainly composed of a metal expander, a primary terminal, an oil storage cabinet, a porcelain sleeve, a body, an oil tank, an oil drain valve, a secondary junction box, and transformer oil. The top is equipped with a metal expander, and there is an oil level observation window on the expander for easy monitoring of the oil level;

1) There are four outlet terminals on the upper part of the product, P1 and P2 are used for primary wiring, and C1 and C2 are used for series-parallel switching;

2) The secondary lead is led out from the junction box on the oil tank at the bottom of the product, and the oil tank is equipped with an oil drain valve and a grounding plate.

3) The primary conductor is a two-lobed aluminum tube or aluminum rod, which is in a "U" shape to lead the primary current to the lower part of the product, and the conductor is wrapped with cable paper for insulation.

4) The secondary coil is annular and placed in the lower oil tank, forming the body of the device with the primary winding.

5) The grounding lead is connected to the grounding terminal of the terminal board or the small ground screen bushing through the ground screen lead.

The oil-immersed inverted current transformer is mainly composed of an expander, an oil storage cabinet, a body, a primary terminal board, a porcelain sleeve base, an oil drain valve, transformer oil and an outlet box, among which the oil storage cabinet, base and outlet box are all cast aluminum parts.

1) The top of the product is equipped with a metal expander, and there is an oil level observation window on the expander to facilitate monitoring of the oil level;

2) The upper oil storage cabinet of the product is a copy casting and welded together after assembly. There are P1 and P2 primary terminals on the oil storage cabinet, and the body is inside.

3) The primary conductor consists of a conductive tube and a conductive rod, which coaxially passes through the secondary coil.

4) The secondary lead wire passes through the aluminum tube in the casing and leads out from the junction box at the bottom of the product. The base is equipped with an oil drain valve and a grounding plate.

5) The secondary coil is placed in a metal casing, which is covered with cable paper insulation and forms the product body with the casing.
